Student Member – One Year Membership – $ 130.00: For SMDM purposes, pre-doctoral students, currently enrolled in a degree earning program, qualify as students. Requires evidence of current enrollment in degree earning program. Students must submit a Student Verification form in order to qualify for discounted pricing.

Trainee Member – One Year Membership – $ 230.00: For SMDM purposes, post-doctoral students, clinical and medical trainees qualify as trainees. Requires evidence of active trainee status. Faculty and full time research employees do not qualify as trainees. Trainees must submit a Trainee Verification form in order to qualify for discounted pricing.

Bridge Member – One Year Membership – $ 230.00: For SMDM purposes, any person who does not have access to funding to support membership costs, qualifies as Bridge. This includes research and non-research faculty and other members such as patient stakeholders. Application requires a signed affidavit confirming that the applicant understands funds are limited for this support and that they are in need of financial support. Bridge membership is available for a total of 3 years per member.

Low-Middle Income Country Member – One Year Membership – $ 130.00: Qualification for this category of membership is based on country of residence, using the World Bank definition.

Emeritus Member – One Year Membership – $ 185.00: SMDM is pleased to offer a special category of membership to those who have served the Society well over the years. Emeritus members receive special pricing on membership and meeting registration. Any member of the Society who reaches the age of 65, with five years of active membership, or any member who, by reason of permanent disability or undue hardship, has been rendered unable to continue active membership, may apply for Emeritus membership by written application to the Secretary of the Society. The Emeritus classification is awarded by a majority vote of the Board of Trustees. To be considered for Emeritus membership, please email info@smdm.org.
